A Note From Hasbro CEO

Thank you for your interest in Hasbro's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. As the CEO of Hasbro, nothing is more important to me than the safety and well being of the children who enjoy our products. In fact, because of its importance, I lead the committee of Hasbro executives that oversees our company¡¯s corporate social responsibility efforts.

For Hasbro, corporate social responsibility is the responsibility that we, as a global corporation, have to the people that develop, manufacture and sell our products, the children and families that use our products, and the communities and environment we live and work in. Corporate social responsibility is not simply words on our website, but an integral part of how we conduct our business, make decisions, and set our priorities.

I am very proud of our longstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility and how much this company has achieved in this area over the years. Our belief in CSR shows up in a wide variety of areas including the quality and safety of our products, environmental, safety and health initiatives, ethical manufacturing programs, philanthropy initiatives, community relations, human resources, governance and our code of conduct.

Let me take a moment to share three examples of our long-term commitment. The first one deals with the environment. During the last seven years, Hasbro has cut its U.S. operations' greenhouse gas emissions by 43.4%. In addition, 88% of currently generated waste at our operated sites around the world is recycled. In the area of work place conditions, we were one of the first toy companies to develop and implement a code of conduct (which we call the Hasbro Global Business Ethics Principles) for our third party vendors. Today we regularly check vendors to make sure they are meeting our code so that we know that our products are made in factories with fair, legal and safe conditions. Finally, in the area of community relations, in 2007 the Company donated close to $15 million dollars in support that helped more than six million children around the world. These are just a few of the things we are doing in the area of corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

Although we have made great improvements over the years, there are growing expectations of us by our customers, shareholders and other key stakeholders in this area. As the bar for companies like Hasbro continues to be raised, we are pushing our CSR efforts forward and I am personally involved to make sure our commitment to continuous improvement is realized in all areas of CSR.

Thanks for taking the time to review our programs. I hope that the information provided on our website answers your questions and demonstrates that Hasbro is committed to doing the right thing for today, and tomorrow's generations.

Sincerely,

Brian Goldner
President and Chief Executive Officer
